Our Curriculum

Explore our comprehensive approach education programs tailored to inspire curiosity and drive innovation.

Curriculum Component

The components of STEAM, robotics, and innovation collectively form a dynamic and interconnected landscape that drives hands-on, interdisciplinary learning and fosters creative problem-solving. STEAM, comprising Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, provides the foundational knowledge and analytical skills necessary for understanding the world and developing solutions to complex challenges. Robotics introduces a tangible and applied dimension to STEAM, incorporating principles of engineering and programming to construct and operate robots.

It serves as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application, emphasizing experiential learning. Innovation, woven throughout STEAM and robotics, represents the transformative and forward-thinking aspect of education. It encourages students to think creatively, explore new possibilities, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. Together, these components create an educational ecosystem that not only equips learners with technical proficiency but also instils a passion for exploration, collaboration, and the continuous pursuit of novel solutions to shape the future.

General Learning Objectives

The general learning objectives of our curriculum are organised into four dimensions:

Knowledge

Integration of STEAM concepts, processes and procedures to develop deeper understanding and enable more effective application.

Skills

Fostering STEAM principles and robotics engineering to foster essential skills such as creativity, problem-solving, communication, and reasoning.

Core Values

Values that are integral to the shaping of individuals who are not only skilled, but also capable of navigating the complexities of the modern world.

Learning Experience

Crafting of experiences through challenging and engaging tasks, which facilitates the growth individuals and promote innovation.

Breakdown of Learning Objectives

Knowledge

Knowledge refers to the important STEAM, robotics and innovation, concepts, facts and procedures which students need to learn and apply throughout the programmes. Students should learn to inegrate STEAM concepts, processes and applications.  This will help them to construct understanding of STEAM, robotics and innovation knowledge that allows them to make sense of STEAM, robotics and innovation and know how and when to apply relevant concepts, strategies and operations as they solve everyday problems.

By the end of the programme, students should be able to:

Skills

STEAM and robotics facilitates the development of skills which underpin the competence in creativity, solving problems, communicating ideas and inductive and deductive reasoning. Hence students should learn to apply thinking skills to sepect appropriate tools, techniques, procedures and strategies to carry out tasks of creation, problem solving and investigation.

By the end of the programme, students should be able to:

Core Values

Values contribute to the development of well-rounded individuals who are not only equipped with technical skills but also possess the attributes needed to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Our curriculum imparts a range of values that extend beyond the specific knowledge and skills related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, robotics and innovation which includes:

The core tenets of Islam, such as a commitment to seeking knowledge, ethical conduct, and social responsibility, align seamlessly with the principles upheld in STEAM fields. The emphasis on ethical considerations and moral responsibility in Islam complements the ethical dimensions of scientific research, technological innovation, and engineering practices. Additionally, the Islamic value of collaborative community engagement resonates with the teamwork essential in STEAM disciplines. The pursuit of knowledge, a fundamental Islamic principle, aligns with the curiosity and inquiry at the heart of STEAM education. By integrating Islamic values into STEAM, there is an opportunity to foster a holistic approach that not only produces skilled professionals but also individuals grounded in ethical principles, social consciousness, and a sense of purpose in contributing to the betterment of society in line with Islamic teachings.

Encourages a problem-solving mindset. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, break down complex problems into manageable parts, and develop effective solutions. This skill is applicable across different disciplines and in everyday life.

Fosters innovation and creativity. Through hands-on projects and experiments, students are encouraged to think creatively, explore new ideas, and develop innovative solutions to problems. This mindset is crucial in addressing the evolving challenges of the world.

Often involves trial and error. Students learn the importance of persistence and resilience in the face of setbacks. Overcoming challenges and learning from failures are integral parts of the STEAM learning process.

Emphasizes collaboration and teamwork. Students work together on projects, share ideas, and learn from each other. Learning to collaborate is a valuable skill that extends beyond STEM fields and is applicable in various professional and personal settings.

STEM fields are dynamic and ever-evolving. STEM education instills a mindset of adaptability and a commitment to lifelong learning. Students understand the importance of staying current with advancements in their field and continuously updating their skills.

Nurtures curiosity and a love for learning. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore new topics, and seek answers through inquiry-based learning. This curiosity-driven approach extends beyond the classroom into various aspects of life.

Learning Experience

Learning experience refers to the experiences provided by learning tasks and activities that enable students to gain knowledge and to learn processes and skills. In the context of this curriculum, we provide learning tasks that are challenging and engaging to help students develop higher skills and procedures required for innovation.

We prepare well-planned tasks and activities to effectively implement instruction and hence achieve pre-set learning objectives for the lesson. The instructional approaches will focus on knowledge and understanding, skills, and values, while at the same time provide opportunities to enable students to inculcate good attitudes and values.

Therefore learning tasks and activities in our instruction will:
